Important Information

Overview: Products, Payment, Shipping and Returns, Exchanges or Cancellations, and Sourcing

We are friendly people and work in good faith.  The following provides transparency on important things.  Please read the General Terms and Conditions for a full understanding.

1. Pricing: The customer is advised that antiques often do not have a market price. Rather, the value of an antique is in the eye of the beholder, i.e. valuations of an antique can vary subjectively. The customer makes investment transactions at their own discretion and at their own risk.  
2. Returns and Exchanges: Yellow Dot Collection does not accept returns or exchanges.
3. Reserving and Placing an Order: We expect customers to follow through on orders placed.  Yellow Dot Collection may choose to accept subsequent changes or cancellations of orders by the customer at its own discretion. In any case, a handling fee of CHF 50 shall be payable.
4. The purchase price is based on the product prices shown in the product presentation at the time of the order. Unless otherwise agreed, prices are quoted in Swiss francs plus VAT. Shipping costs are not included. Yellow Dot Collection will ship through experienced and quality shippers and are willing to accept the customer’s preferred shipper and can deliver the products to a local destination (Zurich and nearby areas). 
5. Payments will be made via Paypal, or Cash if collecting an item in person, or TWINT (for Swiss based customers).  
6. All products are sold in ‘as is’ condition, i.e. they are offered as they are at the time of purchase. Imperfections and patina are natural characteristics of an aged product and do not constitute a defect. All warranty claims are therefore explicitly excluded.
7. Yellow Dot Collection does not make any changes to the wiring of electrical products.
8. The products require special care to maintain their quality and charm. They are generally in good condition, but may require additional maintenance due to their age or signs of use. However, Yellow Dot Collection is not liable for damage caused by improper handling or care of the products. The buyer is responsible for the proper use and care of the items.
9. Data Protection: The protection of the buyer’s personal data is an important concern for Yellow Dot Collection. Yellow Dot Collection uses the data that buyers provide to Yellow Dot Collection exclusively for processing their order and for communication as part of the purchasing process and if customer want to be kept updated of new products, marketing events by Yellow Dot Collection or similar.
10. The buyer’s data will not be passed on to third parties. Yellow Dot Collection is committed to providing a secure website and takes all appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the data in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
